I've been posting a number of my asemic works of the last few years on Satu Kaikonen's blog foffof. Some of these you may have seen before, but I think they look better in these versions.
(Actually, I'm not sure the top two images qualify as "asemic" at all. But they seemed to fit in with the general groove at foffof.)
nice seeing these all together. the color reminds me of photo darkroom paper experiments and 3x4 film, the slight darkening of the edges, the light mottling of chemical pinkish orange, the stark blacks, the torn corner in the last one....
"Andrei Molotiu's comics are absolute marvels: hotbeds of evolving ambiguity where one never knows what disturbing or witty interaction between abstraction of objects and objects of abstraction is about to take place. Each time I've opened them I've been utterly absorbed, that is, drawn into places where I had no power other than to become what I was looking at. What he does is superb." --Harry Mathews
"I love artists that break the rules and Andrei Molotiu breaks them all, with mind-bending and beautiful results." --Scott McCloud
