Sketchbook pages, August 2009-January 2010
I have recently found myself keeping a regular sketchbook for the first time in years, if not decades. This probably was related to all the running around I had to do this past year in connection with the anthology, "Nautilus," and the show, and to the need to just doodle (more or less) mindlessly, or at least to be able to draw in a more relaxed manner, without all the stringent planning and care required in the making of an abstract comic. Here, then, for your delectation, are some pages from my sketchbooks, drawn between late August and just the other day.

These are beautiful, Andrei. I'm struck by how the thumbnails side by side read almost like an abstract comic.
I definitely have favorites in here (the yellow and white one, for example), but I also like seeing how you work a similar idea across several that are side by side.
Glad you are keeping a sketchbook again.
very nice pieces you have here...
